The BEESWAX

 BEESWAX:-

The word BEESWAX represents a number in a criminal's secret code, but
the police had no clue until they discovered among his papers the following
sum:

                              EASEBSBSX
                              minus
                              BPWWKSETQ
                              equals
                              KPEPWEKKQ

The detectives assumed that it was an addition sum and utterly failed
to solve it. Then one man hit on the brilliant idea that perhaps it was a case
of subtraction. This proved to be correct, and by substituting a different figure
for each letter, so that it worked out correctly, they obtained the secret code.

  A Warm Farewell:- At a train station, the Porter family is saying good-bye to the Robinson f amily. We don't know who is leaving and who is staying. Each of the members of the Porter family says farewell to each of the members of the Robinson family. To say good bye, two men shake hands, and both a man and a woman and two women kiss once on the cheek. An eyewitness to the event counted 21 handshakes and 34 kisses.   . How many men and how many women were saying good-bye ?? Orientation: - 1)First find the total number of members in each family by adding the handshakes and kisses 21+34=55 interactions and then find the factors of 55 ie 5* 11, 55* 1. 55 * 1 is not possible hence there are 5 members in one family and 11 members in another family. 2) Using the same logic find the no of mens in each family with 21 handshakes. 3) Use 1 and 2 to find the number of women in each family 4) Give the total number of men and women based on 2 and 3.
